What are some basic principles to pick a stock for Intraday trading? How much you have profited from this trading? Senthil Chandran , 3 years experience in stock market Answered Mar 18 I use a very simple strategy for day trading. Buy the Strength…. Sell the Weakness…. Go to NSE website before market opening. Go to Nifty 50 stocks. Look for 52 week high ( strong stocks) and 52 week low stocks ( weak stocks). Pick 2 stocks from each and keep it in your watchlist. After market opens see how Nifty is performing. If Nifty is positive then go for 52 week high stocks and if Nifty is negative then 52 week low stocks. Now come to indicators. I use PSAR, VWAP and CCI. In 5 mins candle, Buy when PSAR is below candle and and candle is above VWAP. CCI should be trending up or above 0. Stop loss will be when PSAR turns signal. Vice versa for sell. The concept here is but the strength and sell the weakness..

pick right stock

Picking up the right stock for intraday trading is one of the major challenges that intraday trader face every day. The key to successful intraday trading is the right selection of stocks. A lot of factors that should be taken into consideration at the time of selecting stocks intraday trading. Below are some steps which day traders are generally follow for their  Intraday trading  : · Look for the stock with high volume. · Try to analyse the sector to which moved along with nifty · Find out a stock from the sector which followed the trend of the sector. · Next day see the market trend. If it is bullish buy the strong stock and if bearish sell the weak one from that sector.

This strategy works for 100%.

9.15 a.m.–9.25 a.m.  - Find Stocks that Have opened with a GAP up or Down of more than 2%. Out of 200 FNO stocks, you have cut down your selection criteria to 3–4 stock. There is some news in this stock, or some large investor wants to buy large quantities in this stock and hence the GAP. 9.25 a.m–9.30a.m . - There will be 3 data point available 1) Volume. 2)High 3) Low. Volume has to be higher than previous days volume in 10–15 mins.  Now keep a buying Stop Loss above the days High. Example yesterday stock A closed at 100, today it opened at 103 and in the first 10 mins made a low at 102.55 and High of 103.5. As soon as it crosses its 15 minute high of 103.5 buy it. 9.30am–3.30pm  - Once the Buy order is triggered, Keep days low, or weighted average price (available on all trading software like zerodha, Sharekhan etc for free) as your Stop Loss. Keep Riding the stock until its 3.15 or your trailing stop loss is triggered. This strategy works for 100%.

There is a popular saying in day trading. “  Trend   is your friend ” As an intraday trader, finding the trend is very important. Without identifying the trend, trading becomes somewhat similar to gambling which I used to do during my initial stages of trading.
